Study article for this week, more self delusion

i almost said word for word this exact statement about us. It made no sense to mess with us- cuz we were the perfect wt drones. I prayed every day for years for jah to resolve the problem that was endangering us spiritually- doesn't the bible say he won't let u be tested beyond what we can bear? And he answers prayers that are according to his will and purpose, etc. it reminds me of others who put him to the test without any results who have posted here and made me realize - WE ARENT CRAZY- flee from the cult!

what simple pleasures do you enjoy since leaving watchtower?

here's some of mine, in no particular order:.

a cigar: i dont smoke cigarettes at all, but i do enjoy a good cigar from time to time.

All or nothing

- reading fifty shades of grey without an ounce of guilt

-not stressing about field service time every month

-not worrying about "satan" and if he is going to "get" me

-Enjoying life instead of just enduring it.

- Living in the present not for the "future"

i feel more free and easy going now🤗

my wife had settled into a routine of waking up at 6am each day, cleaning (so no chance of a lie in for me or our daughter with the vacuum cleaner going), eating very little, picking the skin off her lips while she sits there in a trance obsessing over things that are out of our control and dont matter anyway.

she never did return to work.

Your story originally about the laptop made me realize how important it is to hide my tablet when our families are around- I still can't believe your sister in law went all Scotland Yard on you- who does that- wow

Thank you for posting this. When I heard the type/ anti type "change" I was like... Wait!!!! Everything we have been taught as "truth" stems from this...I saw the foundation of this whole cult crumbling... Just waited for anyone else to notice.😉 Lol

A WTF Moment While In the WTS

has anyone else had a moment, while still within the organization (and before learning ttatt) that caused them to stop and go, "this is kind of messed up.".

for instance, back i believe in the early 2000's, i was attending a dc with my family.

it was announced at the beginning of the convention that there was going to be a special announcement at the end, so for everyone to please try to remain until the very end of the meeting.

Yes, I have had so many of those moments. The tight pant tony rant was the one that actually made me physically ill as I looked around the KH and no one seemed visibly bothered by everything unchristian coming out of his mouth. I still am so confused how more people didn't wake up that day...

it's a very painful thing to hear, especially when it comes from the people like your own parents/family.

even after i've been told that, they would say "we'll just continue life without you.

This was one of my first doubts as a small naive born in early on, how would such a loving god kill SO many innocent people. Cognitive dissonance was at work in me at 5 or 6 years old.

I know, it was quite an awakening when I realized the majority of who I thought loved me unconditionally really didn't. Surround yourself with people who build you up and you will thrive😊

My response is - I'm sorry you feel that way. Let's make the most of our present time together and enjoy our time together or I will have to remove myself from this negative talk. Sometimes I stay, sometimes I go, depends on who it is and how they respond.
